Pair of Black Lacquer Japanned with Chinoiserie Decoration Twin Headboards. This is a pair of antique lacquered japanned headboards showcasing chinoiserie decoration. Each frame features a black lacquered finish with hand-painted scenes of traditional Chinese landscapes, figures, and flora within oval frame. The headboards are constructed with vertical slats and incorporate decorative motifs along the top rail. Condition: The bed frames exhibit significant wear, including chipping and loss of paint, particularly along the edges and rails. The lacquer finish shows signs of aging and discoloration. Wooden bedframes are structurally sound. Wear consistent with age and use. 42 1/8” wide x 2.5” deep x 43.75” high
