About the Item

Extraordinary nightstand crafted from highly figured ribbon Avodire wood with a frosted glass top that is illuminated from within as a nightlight. Created by the Holland Furniture Company in the 1940s. Donald Deskey at this time was designing for the Baker furniture company which had just relocated their factory to Holland Michigan as well as the Widdicomb Company which was located only 30 minutes away in Grand Rapids. This little nightstand is absolutely amazing and with its clean lines bridges the gap between Art Deco and Postwar Modernism. We also have a matching pair of Tall Dressers and a Vanity with coordinating mirror and stool from this series available as well.
