Handcrafted English Oak Tiered Nightstand Table
About the Item
An adapted version of our architectural oak pillar nightstands/end tables. Designed and totally handcrafted in England using traditional cabinetry techniques with the most beautiful and finest English quartersawn oak. Hand-cut oversized dovetail jointing with turned oak upright column piercing through the sections and revealing flush to the surface.
A design drawing influences from early 20th century European modernist architecture and later post-modern aesthetics. These are unique multi functioning pieces of furniture.
These are substantial and bold pieces of artisanal furniture, built to last a lifetime and beyond.
Finished in very durable stain resistant eco oils.
Alternative American Black Walnut versions are available in our other listings and custom dimensions are available on request.
These pieces are bench-made by hand in England and bear the telltale and tactile signs of the craftspersons work.
We design distinctive pieces of furniture – our main objective is combining the design alongside the natural beauty and properties of the raw materials.
These timbers and materials are very carefully chosen for each specific design - maintaining our focus on the benefits, visual impact and strengths of what we use.
Our regular use of English Quartersawn Oak is one case in point. It has been the beloved timber of fine furniture makers across the world for centuries. It is costly to produce but gives huge benefits and rewards such as its striking medullary rays and superb stability qualities.
By utilising these wonderful and naturally occurring features with our contemporary designs we aim to continue creating some very distinct, tactile and idiosyncratic pieces.
