About the Item

This fantastic 1960s lacquered sculpted walnut 'Oceanic' nightstand by Pulaski Furniture Corporation which was featured in the set design of 'Mad Men', perfectly encapsulates the California surf mentality of the 1960s and 1970s, making this piece a highly sought after design by Tiki collectors and Mid-Century Modern design aficionados. Featuring a Formica top, open cubby areas perfect to place an iPad, remote control, book or magazines and more, lower drawer with sculpted wood panel, all floating on a plinth base. This lovely Oceanic contour night stand by Pulaski Furniture Co is often attributed to Witco. The credenza of this line by Pulaski Furniture Corporation was featured in Donald Draper's office for multiple seasons on the hit TV show 'Mad Men'. We also have this same credenza available along with a full set of other pieces from this line which also include more nightstands (if you prefer a pair), the matching highboy dresser cabinet and credenza / dresser, a mirror which can be placed above the dresser or highboy cabinet or used separately, a bedroom headboard, dining table, and sideboard with display hutch. Contact us for more information. This wild oceanic bedside table or side / end table by Pulaski Furniture Co. would work great in a surf / beach styled bungalow or Tiki styled home, but also would fit perfectly in a Mid-Century Modern, Scandinavian Modern or Danish Modern home or penthouse apartment and could also look fantastic in a contemporary or Postmodern room. Also consider mixing it up in a traditional, transitional, classical or Art Deco room with a splash of juxtaposition. Would also be an apt choice in a commercial project such as a hotel lobby lounge or members club, creative design studio or high-rise executive office. Also consider using as a sideboard in a dining room or a storage cabinet in an entryway or hallway or a credenza in a living room, den or office. MEASUREMENTS: H 22" x W 28" x D 16" CONDITION: Refinished condition, some signs of prior age and wear visible underneath the refinish, ready for immediate use.
