Carved Night Stands

This elegant, kidney-shaped fruitwood antique commode was crafted in France, circa 1950. The commode sits on cabriole legs ending with bronze sabot mounts over the feet. The bow front, over a scalloped apron embellished with a center decorative bronze mount, features two drawers decorated with parquetry motifs and dressed with the original pulls and matching intricate escutcheons. The cabinet is further decorated with bronze mounts in the corners, and both rounded sides are also embellished with inlaid marquetry decor.
