Antique Wrought Iron Sleigh in Country French Style
About the Item
Charming antique Country French wrought iron Children's Sleigh provided sheer joy to the two children who were pushed in the snow as if they were in a stroller. Such devices allowed mothers to take their children to market or through the town even in snow and icy weather. Hand forged in iron in a traditional Country French design, it features its original white paint that has literally weathered the storm and time itself. Today this lovely sleigh makes a precious decorative accent during any time of the year, and especially at Christmas,
circa 1880s.
