About the Item
Art Deco Airplane Sculpture of the Boeing 314 Clipper Cast Aluminium.
Aluminum desk model inspired by the Art Deco era of the 1930s and 1940s, showcasing the iconic Boeing 312 Pan Am Flying Clipper Boat design.
This metal airplane reminds us of something from a Howard Hughes dream.
The position on its incorporated stand gives the feeling as though this plane has just taken flight and is climbing towards its cruising altitude.
Made after the Boeing 314 Clipper, manufactured by Boeing from 1938 to 1941, stood as an expansive American long-range flying boat during its era. Ranking among the largest aircraft of its time, it possessed the capability to traverse both the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. Boeing employed the wing design from the prior XB-15 bomber prototype for this remarkable aircraft.
A total of twelve Clippers were constructed, with nine of them being in service with Pan American Airways.
This Art Deco style airplane model or sculpture is unsigned.
The plane is composed of cast aluminum.

Condition: great vintage condition wear due to age, could be polished to shine.
