This is an antique 4 volume book set - A History of British Furniture by Percy Macquoid. An English, bound antiques reference guide, dating to the Edwardian period, circa 1908. Authored by Percy Macquoid (1852 - 1925), a British illustrator, magazine contributor and stage designer, his subdivision of furniture into the individual timbers has become a standard other titles follow. The four volumes are: The Age of Satinwood; The Age of Oak; The Age of Walnut ; and The Age of Mahogany.
