The Book Of Cricket, A Gallery of Famous Players', Edited by C.B. Fry First edition (undated but published in 1899) cricket book, hard bound bevelled boards 'The Book Of Cricket, A New Gallery of Famous Players', Edited by C.B. Fry and published by George Newnes Limited, London, printed by Hudson & Kearns. The original green cloth cover with pictorial image of a batsman with gilt title. The spine with title in gilt and an image of crossed cricket bats in front of the stumps with a cricket ball. 256 pages, very well illustrated with several hundred full page photographs of the noted cricketers of the day and several teams. Index listing 174 images, some of the images being The Australians' Return, Cambridge University XI, England XI v Australians, C.B. Fry, gentlemen v Players at Lord's 1899, Dr. W.G. Grace, F.S. Jackson, Oxford XI and K.S. Ranjitsinhji. C.B. Fry was an exceptional sportsman playing both international cricket and football for England.
