About the Item
Hard to find limited edition Disney "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" book with four serigraphs, circa 1978. This book is #2230 of #9500 distributed worldwide and is lavishly illustrated with 221 pages of text and drawings. The printing was done in five colors on 65 lb. antique finished paper and the cover is made with special bonded leather and stamped with 22 karat gold pigment leaf. It comes in a nice hard bound slipcover. #3921
The book was printed by Circle Fine Art Press (Chicago/New York) and is copyright 1978 by Walt Disney Productions.
The story is written in a narrative style and accompanied by illustrations selected from the actual artwork used in the production of the motion picture. Also included are reproductions of many of the original story sketches and animation layouts used to illustrate the film continuity. To complete the presentation, examples of the character sketches and character model sheets used to guide the artists during various stages in the films production are found throughout the book.
The highlight of the piece are four Walt Disney Productions limited edition serigraphs from original Snow White movie artwork.
