About the Item

"Weight and See" is the monumental monograph by Swiss graphic artist Roger Pfund, printed by Teunen & Teunen in Geisenheim, Germany in 1993. Complimented by a beautiful wooden framed lithograph with the same image as the cover of the book, but in colour. Lithograph hand signed and dated by the artist, as well as numbered 97 / 100. This limited edition set is a rare find and a beautiful collector's item! The book was commissioned by Tecno Forum, part of famous furniture manufacturer Tecno, and includes the work and history of Pfund since 1966. The cover of the book has a hexagon shaped weight of 500 G in the center, which is also written on it. However, the book itself is at least 4 kg. This might be typical for Pfund's style: going through the book his unique view on art, form and function is very inspirational. This is an amazing collector's item for any art and / or design enthusiast! Text in French, German and English. Roger Pfund (born 1943) is a Swiss graphic artist. In 1970–1971, Pfund won the currency design contest, hosted by the Swiss National Bank, for the design of a new series of bank notes. However another design was printed. He is also credited with the creation of the last version of the French franc, as well as a series of the Euro, and the 2003 Swiss passport.
