Stalingrad to Berlin: The German Defeat in the East by Earl F Ziemke. United States Army, Office of the Chief of Military History, Washington, DC, 1968. Stated 1st Ed hardcover. This was the first to be completed of 3 projected books covering military operations on the Eastern Front of World War II in Europe. Earl Frederick Ziemke (1922-2007) was an American military historian whose work was mainly on World War II and especially the Soviet-German clash in Eastern Europe. An investigation of how the War was won on the Battlefield. A detailed account of the first phase of Operation Barbarossa. Including many maps and plans. Earl Ziemke served in the Marines during World War II.
