This Renaissance-themed chess set, crafted in a Florentine workshop, is a true masterpiece. Each piece, representing figures from the Renaissance period such as the king and queen, church bishop, knight’s stallion, castle tower, and king’s guard, is cast from solid zinc using the traditional lost wax casting process. The pieces are then plated with brass and nickel and finished with multiple layers of lacquer to maintain their shine and prevent tarnishing.
