One of the rarest vintage arcade machines around - owning this piece of gaming history will make you the envy of everyone! At well over half a century old, this vintage nickel arcade game is one of the rarest arcade machines around. The Undersea Raider puts you in the shoes of a submarine captain, shooting torpedoes at neighbouring ships. Peer through the rotating periscope and use the sights to fire away at enemy boats across the seas, and then watch your torpedo as it flashes through the depths towards the warships. A loud bell and a flare of ambient lighting signal a direct hit on your target. There is no time limit, but you only have 26 torpedoes. Aim carefully! The water is portrayed by the blue triangular glass, and the paper components (the enemy ships and backgrounds) remain in excellent condition. It has been professionally restored, with all the mechanisms in perfect working order, and the decals touched up. All told, the Bally Undersea Raider is looking enviably good for 65 years old. From one of the greatest game designers comes a historical and fun arcade game that has only ripened with age. Batten down the hatches, and dive, dive, dive! Our founder, Reginald Waldersmith, was often heard to voice his disappointment that he never owned one of these machines. He had come across an Undersea Raider in the early 1990s when Sean Connery and Alec Baldwin brought submarines back into pop culture again, and Reginald would determinedly plug away on it until he got the high score. (Unfortunately, his Connery accent wasn’t quite up to the same standard.)
