Solid brass gimbaled boat compass that has been meticulously polished and lacquered, and fitted to a varnished mahogany box with a lid. The lid has two brass hooks. This fine old compass is by Wilcox Crittenden of Middletown, Connecticut. The manufacture date on bottom of the bowl is 8-1946.
