Stunning, top quality made and all original antique pendant in the Gothic style.
If you are a collector of rare and ancient looking Gothic antiques then this good size and possibly one of a kind pendant could be flying your way soon. With antique light fixtures as one of our specialities, we know how rare Gothic lanterns are and to have found one of this age, size, beauty and quality more than made our day. Also, because this all hand-crafted specimen is completely original and in superb condition. What makes this stylishly specimen stand out from the other Gothic lights that we have sold over the years, is the thickness of not only the original cathedral amber color glass, but also of the forged wrought iron parts. They are thicker and stronger than we have seen them before. It is therefor too that this 100 year old lantern will still be as stunning and ready to use in another 100 years from now. The natural wear has only made this piece more beautiful and its authentic, medieval look and feel will never fail to impress. It may have originally hung in the entrance of a home in France or maybe above the main entrance of a medieval style chateau or castle, we are not sure. What we are certain of is that we will never be able to find another one and most certainly not in this amazing condition. The stylized Gothic church-like windows in all six sides are just some of the wonderful features that make this work of lighting art so purely Gothic and desirable. Mounted in the right space it will make you feel like stepping back into medieval times. The level of the workmanship truly is of a bygone era. The kind that you don't find anymore in this day and age and that is why we sometimes refer to our clients as the custodians of the pieces that we sell.
