Early 19th Century English Leather Bound Illustrated Family Holy Bible

Study the word of Gog with this beautiful antique Bible. Printed in Bungay, England by Brightly and Childs circa 1814, the book showcases a sturdy leather binding with a prominent red title label marked “BIBLE” and gold tooling along the spine bands. The bible is an edition of The Self-Interpreting Bible by Rev. John Brown. The title page highlights its extensive content, including paraphrases, chapter analyses, introductions, notes, and evangelical reflections. It also being “embellished with forty beautiful engravings.” Key Features of The Self-Interpreting Bible: Content: It includes both the Old and New Testaments with references, illustrations, and paraphrases summarizing difficult or obscure sections.
