About the Item
Place this antique triptych on a table for your daily devotions! Created in Italy circa 1960, and carved of pine wood, the religious artwork features three folding panels hinged together which can be folded shut or displayed open. The central panel depicts Madonna holding the Christ Child. The Madonna is shown in a serene pose, draped in a blue cloak with a red garment underneath, cradling the baby Jesus, who gazes outward. Both side panels display an angel holding trumpets, suggesting an annunciation or celebratory theme. The artwork is framed in an ornate, gilded metallic border with intricate patterns, giving it a medieval or Renaissance-inspired appearance, and the detailed craftsmanship and religious iconography point to a historical or traditional design. The free standing triptych is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns bright colors with exquisite details.
