About the Item
A rare and extraordinary Louis XVI style Walnut Kneeler dating to the mid 1700’s and likely Italian. Monolithic in form, the Cabinet features inset drawer, side and door panels with handsome burling, simple turned drawer pull, dentil type trim and storage behind the door and lift up kneeling lid.
Dimensions: 24.75” wide by 20.5” deep by 36.5” high.
Condition: Please see detail photos. Various acceptable signs of wear in keeping with the great age of the cabinet include some stable age splits to the frame and top, nicks, scratches and some slight time softened losses which do not detract from the historical and compelling presentation.
