About This is an original "No. 3A Folding Pocket Kodak" camera with a hand operated, chrome push button shutter release. The body of camera is all leather with a leather handle and it folds smoothly closed to 2 inches. This camera has retained its original finish and has the appropriate amount of wear. The removable silver Art Deco stylus is missing. Creator: Eastman Kodak company Date of Manufacture: circa 1903-1915 Materials and Techniques: Leather, chrome, optical glass, fabric. Condition: Good wear consistent with age and use. Dimensions: H 10 in., W 5 in., D 9 in. History The No. 3A folding pocket Kodak was a folding bed camera for making exposures in 3¼ × 5½ inch postcard format on type no. 122 roll film. It was introduced by Kodak in 1903 and made until 1915. Variants were B, B2, B3, B4, B5, C and G. Early variants were expensive and had for example a combination of Kodak Automatic shutter and rapid rectilinear lens of Bausch & Lomb. Later moderately priced variants got the ball bearing shutter. Both shutters were still for pneumatic remote operation or release by lever. A glass plate adapter was available for the camera.
