Terrestrial Globe French 18th Century, Swinging Structure

Designed, created, and built to be hanged to the ceiling in order to spin and play with it. Rare are the cases of pre-revolutionary French globes, and most of all the swinging ones. In excellent conditions and original patina, no losses or restorations, a bronze ring, and rivets included. Highly artistically enriched, it shows the most updated cartography of the period that year (please see North America and Australia – Nouvelle Hollande). The ‘cartouche’ shows: Globe Terrestre D’apres Mr. Rizzi Zannoni (publisher) A Paris Ches Girard Geógraphe (geographer).
