Antique Hammond's 6-Inch Terrestrial Globe on Stand

Offered here for your consideration is, A fine antique 6-inch terrestrial globe. Additional Details: By C.S. Hammond & Co. The globe likely dates from 1927 to 1930 due to the marking of Leningrad (post-1924), Constantinople (pre-1930), and Central Australia (1927-1931). Steamship routes are indicated. Likely with an associated stand. Simply a wonderful Hammond's globe. Perfectly sized for the Library, Bookshelf, or Mantel! Date: 1927-1930 Overall Condition: It is in overall fair, as-pictured, used estate condition. Condition Details: The stand is likely a replacement. The internal stem is about 1/4" longer than the diameter of the globe. There is crazing to the gores throughout and a few spots of loss here and there (particularly to the globe's exterior around the equatorial line). There are some losses to the finish of the arm supporting the globe. Otherwise, there are some fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age. Maker: C.S.
