Antique Brass Ashtray Advertising a Philadelphia Dealer in Artificial Human Eyes

About the Item

An odd obscura collectible in the form of a rare, antique brass advertising ashtray. The ashtray is engraved with "H.E. Baldwin - Philadelphia / Artificial Human Eyes" around the rim, has indented cigarette rests dividing the words, and a rope twist pattern to the rim. H.E. Baldwin was apparently a 19th century Philadelphia merchant. Stamped for The Metal Arts Co. in Rochester, NY to the reverse. Simply a wonderful collectible curiosity! Date: 19th Century Condition Details: It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition with some fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age. Measurement: Diameter: ca. 5 3/8 in. Height: ca. 5/8 in. Items purchased from this dealer must delight you. Purchases may be returned for any reason for a period of 7 days.
