About the Item
Pair of Early Scandinavian cross country skis.
A pair of early long slender Swedish ridge top cross country ski's with tapered tips and wedge tails, the running surfaces with a single groove on the bottom. The original bindings were most probably mortise and strap bindings but have later been altered to the bent metal bindings we see in the pictures. The foot plates are rubber with a brass metal makers plate fixed behind one of them. The plate reads "HEDBERG & Co., SKIDFABRIK, NORR - EDSBYN" (HEDBERG & Co., Ski Factory, North Edsbyn).
A great pair of skis, ideal as a decorative wall hanging piece.
