A rarity 19th century Josef Florenz Wien massage armchair. This armchair was born operated with steam and subsequently powered electrically. Walnut structure, cast iron legs, carrying handles and steel footrests Restored and working Measure in cm: H 127 \ 57 W 70 D 78 History and curiosity of this subject: Florenz was one of Vienna's first and oldest weighing and weighing factories in Austria-Hungary. The first founder was in 1768, followed by Florenz and whose descendants developed their products up to the twentieth century. In the late 18th century, society became even an imperial supplier. The Napoleonic wars then brought the company into financial trouble. Thanks to the inventions, innovations, acquisitions and the use of new technological methods, the factory has been able to expand its market beyond the borders of the Austrian Empire. In 1900 almost all pharmacies of the monarchy, such as Imperial and Royal Court Pharmacy, had Florenz products.

This precious antique table scale was from the famous Caffè Florian in Venice Caffè Florian is a historic café in the city of Venice, located under the arcades of the Procuratie Nuove in Piazza San Marco. It is the oldest Italian coffee and the oldest coffee in the world. It was inaugurated on December 29, 1720 by Floriano Francesconi with the name of Alla Venezia Trionfante, but immediately the Venetians simply said “andemo da Florian-let's go to Florian”, from the name of the owner in the Venetian dialect. Since then it has continued its daily coffee business uninterruptedly to the present day, becoming a favorite destination for Venetians, Italians and foreigners. Floriano Francesconi inspired the character of Ridolfo in Carlo Goldoni's coffee shop. Giacomo Casanova courted the ladies there and Carlo Goldoni entered as a boy.
