Four Late 19th/Early 20th Century Leather Falconry Hoods Taxidermy Curio

About the Item

A highly decorative collection of four falconry hoods, later mounted on matching period brass and ebonised turned stands. The three larger example are first to second quarter of the 20th century in age, black and red leather with glass beads and feathers adorments, the smaller example late 19th century plum leather with a twine and fabric bound tassel. Age related wear and discolouration, the gilt brass stems have small areas of oxidation, there is also a period steel falconry whistle. Largest example is 10cm in diameter @ base, 19cm in height
