About the Item

Rare mid-19th century cast iron match holder by Zimmerman of Hanau, Germany, circa 1850 This woman in her night clothes lights her way holding out her candle. Her cap removes to reveal an open space to store stick matches. A small candle will easily fit inside the woman's candleholder. Measures: 2" diameter x 4" high. Good antique condition.
