English Regency Ecrier and Match Strike in Patinated Bronze

About the Item

English Regency figural ecrier or inkstand. Set upon a rectangular base with milled edges all around. The ecrier with pin tray to front and back with inkwell to one side and sander to the other. Quill holder to each corner. To the centre the figure of a naked putti with a walking stick in his hand and a woven basket strapped to his back. This basket is a match holder and strike. Very fine original patination to all the bronze especially on the cupid and very fine detail throughout. English circa 1815.
