About the Item

Wonderful vintage Mid-Century Modern tall standing birdcage comprised of black painted bamboo spindles, thin metal bars, and tapered hexagon top & base with cane over wood panels. And comes with a fabulous parrot basket in case you don’t have a real bird! Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear even if it has been refinished or restored. Specifically, it has been given a fresh coat of black paint and a custom-made functional door and hanging perch by our professional artisan staff. Get ready for your feathers to be totally RUFFLED!!!! I mean… Cock-a-doodle-doo!!! Will you feast your eyes on THIS!!!!! Talk about a Macaw Mansion!!!! A Tremendous Tower for your Toucan… A Parrot’s Paradise!!! A Cockatoo CASTLE!!! Yes, this marvelous monstrosity is ALL of those, and MORE. This is an incredible Mid-Century Modern free-standing TALL birdcage composed of a freshly painted black frame featuring bamboo spindles with thin metal bars between each bamboo stalk, tapered hexagon top & base with lovely cane over wood panels, and bamboo stalk legs. It’s an absolutely beautiful birdy bungalow!! That being said, if you have a cute little canary or a smaller bird buddy, I’m afraid your feathered friend would probably escape through the 1 ½” spaced bars… without modifications. This spectacular space is better occupied by the bigger, broader birds. And, if you don’t have a friendly fowl of your own, don’t be discouraged!! It comes readily befriended with a decorative perched & playful birdie basket!! … An incredible hand-woven Shanghai Handicrafts Basket, I might add!! It bears lovely colors of green, red, and a little orange. Super cute… and you don’t have to feed or clean up after him either!! LOL… It is fabulous, functional, and ready to fill your home with style and joy. You know what they say… The early bird gets the worm. That may be so, BUT Franklin D.
