About the Item
Beautiful vintage English globe with compass, resting on an oak round base in art deco style, dated 1940s-50s, strangely enough not marked with a makers mark.
The map shows French West Africa, Indochina and Belgian Congo, via these countries we can perfectly date this characterful globe as being from the 1950s or earlier (until 1934 when Persia became Iran).
In good vintage condition, with traces appropriate to its age, some minor damage and discolouration, characterful object that will attract a lot of attention and will be a topic of conversation in your interior! Check the photos for more details.
