About the Item

Screen with free-standing structure in corrugated paper-board extracted from pure cellulose. Completely recyclable and non-pollutive. Upper and lower edges in techno-polymer in matte black. Terminal stiffening components in brushed die-cast aluminium. Born near Milan in 1951, after a degree in architecture at Politecnico he has worked mainly in the field of interior design, although jewellery design was another major interest. In 1994 he won the Compasso d’Oro award for Cartoons screen, produced by Baleri Italia in 1992. He has been a collaborator of the company from 1990 to 2004, in charge of the Art Direction of the showroom in Milan and the settings for the collection in occasion of events both in Italy and abroad. One of his latest projects for Baleri Italia, the innovative Marì chair and armchair, has become one of the company’s bestsellers.

Cartoons creates a spatial division that is baroque and minimalist at the same time. The idea of the screen is a sublime mystification: a wall that is not a wall. Corrugated cardboard, a humble but reliable material, is presented in a very refined technology. Two sheets of cardboard, positioned side by side, ensure the maximum ease in rolling and unrolling the screen and are couplet to a free-standing structure. Screen with free-standing structure in corrugated cardboard extracted from pure cellulose, available in two configurations, height 170 cm with 40÷400 cm extension or height 150 cm with 40÷300 cm extension. Upper and lower edge in technopolymer in matt black. Terminal stiffening components in brushed diecast aluminium.
