Exclusive Japanese screen/room divider made of black lacquer, painted and inlaid
Carved in wood, lacquered, the individual parts standing on feet. On a black lacquer background, gold decoration on one side, depicting birds in branches. The display side, the partially highly sculptural lacquer decoration, depicts figures in an architectural landscape.
This impressive screen consists of 6 magnificently decorated relief panels with a pagoda and a montage of geishas carrying food and musical instruments
The screen is good quality and is in generally good condition with some minor chipping
