About the Item
This is a lovely three panel French provincial style screen with a carved crest and a shaped glass "window" in each panel and beautiful tapestries of a courting couple in a different romantic scenes in each panel.
The tapestries are muted in color and have probably faded over time and have wear including spots where the wear has become small tears but I think they can retained in the screen. The panels are backed in lovely smooth patterned stripe fabric that is not in good condition and may need to be replaced. There are other imperfections including scratches to the wood finish and other losses and wear to the wood but nothing major.
The screen is 61.5 inches high to the tallest point and each panel is 24.5 inches wide and the window measures 21 inches by 14 inches high.
