About the Item

The "Nascer do sol" collection came to life during the restrictions that occurred during the first lockdown and attempts to revisit a style beloved by me: art decò. The movement draws its origins from the Anglo-Saxon aestheticism of the Arts and Crafts, which had placed the emphasis on the free creation of the artisan as the only alternative to mechanization and mass production of objects with little aesthetic value. This vision reflects my design philosophy and I decided to combine wood with Murano glass to give colour and lightness to the works. The glass fusions were made by master Raffaele Darra who collaborated on the project and took care, thanks to his long experience, of mixing colours and recreate the light of dawn, the only moment of escape of those days. The spy mirror in the centre of the screen is the element that wants to give the sense of insecurity of being discovered outside the home. The result of the three works, a screen, a pair of armchairs and a maquette of a double bed wants to be light at first sight, but full of details that can only be revealed to those who take the right time Available Colors/Finishes: customizable on request

Sand Senses Cupboard in Wood by Hillsideout
By Hillsideout, Rossana Orlandi
Located in Milan, IT
The Sand Senses cupboard features materials made with sand and surface that stimulate senses when touched. Sand seems to have no limit. Burnt sand makes the Murano glass transparent. Concrete incorporates more than one type of sand - one comes from the river and the other one has been transformed through a chemical process. Wood is sandblasted and treated with oil-wax to obtain the smoothest surface possible. Geometric shapes can be found in the concrete legs, in the cupboard doors, as well as on the top enriched with openings in colored Murano glass. With its four colorful doors, two drawers and several shelves, this piece turns out to be a very aesthetically pleasing and practical cupboard; representing the perfect solution for both storing and showcase use...
