Pair of Midcentury Jomain Baumann Style Tambour Screens

About the Item

A pair of tambour screens or room dividers made made from strips of cherry wood. A midcentury Italian production inspired by the iconic 1930s design by Jomain Baumann. The Finnish architect Alvar Aalto also based his 'Screen 100' on the same design. The serpentine form folds to any number of configurations. Each measuring approximately 160 x 120 cm. Overall good condition. Some water staining to the base of right hand screen. Restoration to be completed.
