About the Item

A corrugated steel screen stands atop three wooden legs. Its sinuous arc and hundreds of delicate perforations strike a pleasing balance to its industrial choice of metal. This screen carries all the stylistic hallmarks of a modernist design, and could well have been created in response to the rise of perforated steel in architecture during the 1950s. Featuring patination consistently across its surface, the feet show more rust than the body, and while slightly wobbly, there are no significant dents on the main surface.
