About the Item

An outstanding, radical, monumental screen with 4 panels in thick black lacquered wood, with 4 exceptional massive turquoise Venini glasses, displayed alternatively at the bottom and at the top of each panel. Every piece of the blown glass is unique and forms aquatic reliefs. This unique piece is by Ludovico Diaz di Santillana, Venini, Murano, Italy 1980. Ludovico Diaz de Santillana became Venini's creative director after the death of his stepfather, Paolo Venini. He worked a lot on international expansion of the enterprise, and introduced the Venini glass in many architecture projects. The previous owner of the screen got it from Venini Glass Manufacture in Murano as a special order for his home in Monte Carlo.
