About the Item

This is a genuine, original Scheibe product, maker of fine quality accessories since 1914 in Boston, Massachusetts. Although the company’s highly esteemed legacy continues to thrive through the hard work and dedication of the third generation, this original design is no longer in production making this particular piece a rare find. For the collector who desires authenticity at its finest the evidence is in the details. Featuring curved lathe-carved legs, as well as the supporting spindle, which are the distinguishing factors that separate it from its vintage and modern competitors. Jacquard tapestry ribbons with floral accents framed in beautiful scrollwork in a traditional color scheme. This wonderfully preserved piece is the perfect complement for the guest bedroom to welcome out-of-town visitors, or an extraordinary gift for the frequent traveler. Easily folds to be tucked away when not in use. Can also be utilized as a tray table to be admired without pause. Good antique condition displaying occasional use. Solid wood frame is sturdy and structurally sound. This piece is marked with the original sticker
