50's Mid Century Modern Bamboo Umbrella Cane Stand Holder Italy This lovely bamboo umbrella stand / rack is the perfect entryway accessory to tidily organize all your umbrellas and walking sticks. Bamboo furniture is extremely fashionable right now and has a great light and airy exotic feel about it, looking just as at home in a modern minimal house as it would in a colourful retro one. Attributed to Italian born architect and designer Franco Albini for Vittorio Bonacina. Through his creations, the modern furniture design merged the Italian traditional artisanship with the new forms of modernism. In his creations, Albini used raw, inexpensive materials. He exploited the very skilled Italian craftsmanship. This also meant an elegant design based on a minimalist aesthetic. In very good condition with wear and patina commensurate with age and use.
