Gustave Serrurier-Bovy Brass and Oak Cane & Umbrella Stand with Zinc Liner

About the Item

Rare and beautiful quality Arts & Crafts stand, designed by Gustave Serrurier-Bovy (1858-1910). Looking for a stylish and practical antique to upgrade your entrance experience? This entirely handcrafted, early 1900s hall stand is a perfect example of the timeless designs that were being created by the best designers in the European Arts and Crafts era. The design is seemingly simple, but that is exactly what great designers were capable of creating. People look at a design like this and think, well I could have made that, but only real designers understand how difficult that is. This highly stylish, European Arts and Crafts umbrella stand is in good condition still and the combination of the warm patinated brass rings and the oak wooden frame is an absolute joy to look at. In our view this original Arts and Crafts umbrella stand (by a great designer) truly is both beautiful and practical, because it even comes with the original and removable zinc liner. It is just a great piece to come home to. Again great value for money, also, because perfect packing and worldwide delivery from our store to your door in just 4 days are complimentary. Maximum height x diameter of the base: 26.8 x 13 inches. Diameter of the brass rings: 8.25 inches. We have a passion for the unique, for quality, for stylish yet practical and for craftsmanship of years gone by. Your purchases will be extremely well packaged and we look forward to serving you (again). You can shop all our 1000+ listings by pushing the button that reads 'View All From Seller'.
