About the Item

The Olive green silk velvet of Ferronerie design Dating from 15th century. With stylised pomegranate motifs. Renaissance possibly Florence Consisting of two joined panels. The top edge with 17th century braid of silk and metal thread , backed with 17th century linen Quite rare to find a piece of this size This amazing 500 year old panel is in antique condition with general signs of wear commensurate with age and use. A couple of historic restorations, some rubbing overall good for age and type. PLEASE NOTE the whitish marks are just light reflection The black clips at the top are not part of the listing.
