About the Item

This African men's Ewe Kente cloth was woven in fine cotton in the late 19th-early 20th century. It has some light staining in areas because it is in the condition it was collected in the field. Aside from the typical light stains, it is in excellent condition. It has no holes, is sewn tightly and is really beautiful. This is a beautiful red, white, and blue handmade textile that could be as an Americana or patriotic decorative piece for styling. This textile would make an incredible wall hanging or to put at the end of the bed. This piece comes from Joseph Carini's Private Reserve Collection. On his travels around the world, Carini has curated a collection of fine and rare vintage textiles and rugs. He is enamored by ancient techniques, natural dyes, and cultural symbology. Joseph Carini is the founder and designer of Carini Carpets.
