Vintage Multicolor West African Ewe Kente Cloth Textile Fabric or Wall Hanging

About the Item

This prestigious Kente cloth was handwoven on small hand held looms. The fabric has all been hand sewn to form a marvelous textile. These were originally made for people of high standing or royal lineage. This would make a wonderful throw or bed spread for a smaller bed and could also be a magnificent wall hanging. Beautiful multicolor fabric, predominantly green. This piece comes from Joseph Carini's Private Reserve Collection. On his travels around the world, Carini has curated a collection of fine and rare vintage textiles and rugs. He is enamored by ancient techniques, natural dyes, and cultural symbology. Joseph Carini is the founder and designer of Carini Carpets.
