Antique Eastern Anatolian Kurdish Yuruk Long Rug

About the Item

Antique Eastern Anatolian Kurdish Yuruk long rug with three medallion design. An good example of a Yuruk long rug, with a classic design of three linked medallions and traditional colour palette. The apricot / orange used in the border is traditional for this region of Eastern Anatolia, the medallions have a very clear dye quality. The rug retains the original decorated end finishes at both ends. The side bindings are very finely done in a style unique to the Yuruk. Good condition with even wear and medium pile. The rug is suitable for normal domestic use. Hand washed and ready for use or display. Additional information: Age: Circa 1900 Size: 7ft 9in x 3ft 1in (235 x 94cm) Stock Number: R-1996.
