Antique Tribal Qashqai Half Khorjin
About the Item
Antique tribal Qashqai half Khorjin by the Darrehshuri sub tribe of the Qashqai.
This saddle bag has a piled face with the traditional Qashqai single medallion design surrounded by a field of floral rosettes. The outstanding feature of this bag is the back in a banded design in a weaving technique that is considered unique to the Darrehshuri Qashqai nomads. The bag has been opened along the sides so that it can be displayed showing the back. The top of the bag also retains the original closing lapettes.
The Khorjin is in excellent condition with slight even wear and good pile. The wool is very soft and the bag face has a floppy handle.
The Khorjin has been hand washed and is ready for display.
