Vintage Egyptian Rug 10'0'' x 14'0''
Located in New York, NY
Egypt has a rug-weaving tradition that dates back to at least the 16th century. After a brief period of glory, though, it seems to have gone into abeyance until after World War Two. The birth of the handmade carpet industry in modern Egypt dates to the Egyptian Revolution in 1952, when the importation of carpets from Iran ceased.
Most people don’t think of Egypt as a source of Oriental rugs. New Egyptian rugs are almost never included in books on the subject because, first of all, new Oriental rugs...

Unique Wool & Bamboo Silk Hand-Knotted Cut-Out Rug with Lotus Flower Design
By Shewekar Elgharably
Located in Cairo, EG
In her debut carpet collection, Shewekar adds even more finesse to our beloved Lotus flower by elongating its stems evoking a sensation of movement, and contrasting it with a simple geometric design and a royal green fringe. The unique cut-out rug is hand-knotted by the best artisans in Egypt, made from 100% Egyptian wool with bamboo silk inlay, with 160,000 knots per square meter.
The design takes into consideration how a space is furnished, enabling any home-owner to easily integrate it into their living space to add depth and charm.
Note: Due to the intricate handmade process of weaving and dyeing of colors, rugs of this type are truly one-of-a-kind. Each rug has a unique personality, no two rugs...

Antique-washed Persian Kerman carpet runners are narrow rugs with a long length, typically crafted from high-quality wool and featuring intricate designs. These Persian rugs undergo an antique-washing process to soften their colors, giving them the allure of a well-loved antique piece. Originating from the city of Kerman in south-central Iran, these carpet runners often boast traditional Persian motifs, floral patterns, or geometric designs, woven with soft colors against a neutral background. They are prized for their vintage charm, exquisite craftsmanship, and ability to add character and warmth to hallways, corridors, or other narrow spaces in homes.

Modern Oriental Persian Tabriz Design Egyptian Rug
Located in New York, NY
Fine and decorative modern oriental Persian Tabriz design Egyptian rug, country of origin: Egypt, circa 21st century / modern rug. Here is an alluring and beautifully composed contemporary carpet, a modern rug woven in the Tabriz style in Egypt during the early years of the 21st century. The Persian Tabriz rug style, which was perfected by the weavers of antique Persian rugs centuries ago, is one of the most appealing and widely sought after styles of all antique oriental rugs and carpets. This contemporary example, with its elegant and graceful composition, speaks to the proud and stored rug-weaving tradition of Tabriz in a unique and delightful manner. Decorated with an all-over pattern of intertwining, Mina Khani inspired vine-scrolls that form secondary figures, this Egyptian carpet...

Antique 16th Century Cairene Rug. Size: 8 ft 9 in x 16 ft 3 in (2.67 m x 4.95 m)
Located in New York, NY
Beautiful Early Antique Egyptian Cairene Rug, Country Of Origin: Egypt, Circa Date: 16th Century. Size: 8 ft 9 in x 16 ft 3 in (2.67 m x 4.95 m)
This amazing carpet was created in Cairo almost five centuries ago and is in exceptional condition for its age. Very few carpets of this age are still in existence and even fewer that are so exquisitely preserved. This antique carpet is more than likely of Mamluk origin, but when it was created, the Ottoman Turks were establishing their power. This carpet may be from this time of transition of power. It has many of the hallmarks of other known Mamluk carpets. The most notable characteristic is the use of only a limited color palette. The carpets feature a central design that is subdivided into sections and surrounded by scrollwork, leaves, and florals. It uses a high level of detail throughout the design, including shading, to give the shapes depth and character. It shows a high level of design and planning, which is indicative of one of the formal carpet weaving centers in Cairo.
Although this Egyptian carpet...
