Antique Caucasian Karachov Kazak Rug 6’4” x 7’0". SW Caucasus/Armenia. Boldly patterned, strongly colored, totally geometric, all wool, coarse to moderate weave, medium to long pile, scatter format pieces, in medallion, allover and prayer (directional) layouts, with numerous identified source villages: Karachof, Bordshaly, Sewan, Shulaver and Lori Pambak.  Natural dyes, decorative to highly collectible. Often dated.
