About the Item

:: Covered field of geometric arabesques wrapped by floral cross-section and partial Herati main border. An unusual design motif in a somewhat early example. Colors and shades include: Raspberry red, dusty teal, sky blue, sapphire blue, ruby red grapefruit, saffron yellow, and more. Condition notes: Large areas of foundation showing through with wear across to knot heads. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. Expert restoration to one end minor border with expert restoration found on the opposing end main and outer border. Reinforcement throughout to warps and wefts. Ideally suited for a low traffic area of the home. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Caucasian rug runner made in the Caucasus region circa 1870's vintage. Size measures 3'1" x 12'6".
