About the Item

Antique Chinese Rug Central Asia Rug 19th Century Chinese Rug Size: 132x180 cm This carpet is a work of art woven in China in the late 19th or early 20th century. The dimensions of the carpet are 1.32 x 1.80 meters and it is made of a mixture of wool and cotton. The color and pattern of the carpet reflect the influences of Chinese culture and history. The background of the carpet is dark red. The color red symbolizes happiness, wealth and good luck in China. In the center of the carpet, there are geometric shapes in shades of blue. These shapes are inspired by Chinese traditional motifs. For example, the eight-pointed star represents eternity and balanced life. The edges of the carpet are detailed in golden yellow and blue colors. These borders frame and contrast the patterns in the center of the carpet. This carpet is an example of China's craft and cultural heritage. The texture, colors and patterns of the carpet are a reflection of the handcraftsmanship and artistic understanding of the period. This carpet was used for both decorative and functional purposes. In addition to decorating homes, carpets provided warmth and comfort.
