About the Item

This is an antique Tibetan rug woven during the beginning of the 20th century circa 1900 and measures 156 x 80CM in size. Its field depicts five rows of highly geometric beige-colored medallions which are indicative of Tibetan and Chinese culture set on a red background color. its border is made using a variant of the classical Greek key design which is found in many Chinese and Tibetan textiles also woven in the same beige color creating color contrast against the deep red colored background color. This peace has been preserved in excellent condition retaining most of its original full pile making it a true collector’s piece and is ready to be added to any collection or to be used and enjoyed in any modern or classical setting.
